Ben Eine, originally a graffiti writer from London, is now one of the most successful letterform artists in the world and a pioneer in contemporary typography art.
His unique and distinct style began with painting huge, colourful letters on shutters throughout East London, catching the public’s attention and becoming seminal in the rise of street art’s popularity.
Eine’s partnership with Banksy in setting up the Pictures on Walls gallery was hugely influential to the commercial success of both artists, and his international acclaim was further heightened when UK Prime Minister David Cameron gifted his artwork to President Obama.
His work is now held in permanent collections in various museums and institutions worldwide, and he continues to engage and surprise the public with his street art, including unveiling the world’s largest street art work in 2018.
