Dean Stockton, widely recognized as DFace, is a prominent English street artist renowned in the realm of Urban Contemporary Art. Utilizing diverse mediums such as spray paint, stickers, posters, and stencils, his creations have captivated art enthusiasts and experts alike. Having grown up in London, D*Face's early fascination with graffiti was inspired by Henry Chalfant's iconic documentation of subway graffiti in 'Spraycan' and 'Subway Art'. During his teenage years, skateboarding and its vibrant culture ignited his passion for stickers and the do-it-yourself ethos associated with skateboarding and punk subcultures. Over 15 years ago, DFace embarked on his artistic journey, starting on the streets by hand-drawing stickers and posters and plastering them across London's urban landscape. While pursuing an illustration and design course and working as a freelance illustrator/designer, he continually honed his skills in street art. DFace has emerged as one of the most respected figures to emerge from the British Urban Contemporary Art scene, making a lasting impact as his art transitions into mainstream culture.
